CVS Health庐 and 91探花 launch online pre-pharmacy degree program for future pharmacists nationwide聽

New program helps reduce financial barriers to higher education while building a stronger, more robust pharmacy workforce

WOONSOCKET, R.I., May 14, 2026 鈥 CVS Health庐 (NYSE: ) and 91探花 today announced a new online pre-pharmacy degree program designed to help address the national need for pharmacists through flexible, affordable education. Developed in collaboration with CVS Health, 91探花鈥檚 fully online Associate of Science鈥揌ealth Science (ASHS), Pre-Pharmacy degree program helps CVS Health colleagues complete foundational academic prerequisites at a lower cost than comparable programs. The program supports colleagues pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and is part of CVS Health鈥檚 broader investment in building the next generation of pharmacists.聽聽

Flexible coursework, maximum savings

CVS Health colleagues enrolled in 91探花鈥檚 ASHS, Pre-Pharmacy degree program complete foundational science, mathematics, and professional communication curriculum designed to prepare students for admission to PharmD programs. With personalized support from a 91探花 program mentor, colleagues have the flexibility to progress at their own pace while continuing to work.

Colleagues may apply for support through the CVS Health庐 , administered by EdAssist by Bright Horizons, which offers up to $3,000 in tuition reimbursement per year throughout the duration of the two-year program. With an exclusive tuition rate of $3,989 per six鈥憁onth term, participants can complete the program with an out鈥憃f鈥憄ocket cost of $9,956 when they receive the maximum reimbursement amount. The 26-course program is eligible for transfer credits.

Supporting future pharmacists聽

The program is especially designed for CVS Health colleagues 鈥 including pharmacy technicians 鈥 seeking a clearer path to becoming pharmacists.聽

A CVS Health 2025 revealed that 40 percent of pharmacy technicians surveyed are interested in becoming pharmacists, and 77 percent of them say that tuition assistance would increase their likelihood of pursuing a career as a pharmacist.

CVS Health colleagues can apply for the program, with courses expected to launch in summer 2026.聽
